Due to a high request from our customers, Armstrong's Cricket Farm- GA started raising the Banded Cricket (Gryllodes sigillatus). Banded crickets are hearty,healthy and live well in high temperature and humidity.
The Banded Crickets are:
- About an inch long -at maturity ( 6 weeks old) - perfect for larger reptiles and amphibians
- Small wings as compared to other cricket species makes them easy for reptiles and amphibians to digest
- Easily digestible because of the soft exoskeleton
- Desired aroma – preferred among herps
- Nutritional content – has what predators need
- Activity level – makes mealtime a fun experience for the pets
